KINGSTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- During Christmas Eve and New Years Eve weekends, Rosendale is hosting their inaugural Cannabis Growers Showcase. A press release says it's a prelude to Rosendale's first cannabis dispensary. Get the latest news, weather, sports and more delivered right to your inbox! The showcase takes place at the former Stone Krafters building at 2223 Route 32 inKingston. It starts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 11 a.m. on both weekends, ending at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 6 p.m. on Sundays. Startup ski mountain Bluebird Backcountry announced in July that it won’t operate this winter after three seasons running a lift-less resort on a ranch near Steamboat Springs. It never could quite solve the real estate puzzle.Jeff Woodward, a 40-year-old Boston native, spent the last six years building the backcountry-only ski area with his cofounder Erik Lambert. An infant girl died near LAX in Westchester Friday morning.The baby, a 1-year-old girl, died due to cardiac arrest near the intersection of South Sepulveda and Century boulevards at about 10 a.m., according to Los Angeles Police Department Detective Borihan.Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Brian Humphrey said the initial call was made at 9:37 a.m., though the relationship of the caller to the child is unknown.The caller attempted CPR until the LAFD arrived to take over, but they declared the person dead.KFI reporter Steve Gregory said on X, formerly Twitter, that "the child died on a bus bench," adding that "the infant, her sister, and mother [are] all homeless."The mother is being interviewed by detectives, while the other child is in the custody of the L.A. The driver of a vehicle that struck a Ventura County Sheriff's Office deputy's SUV earlier this month has been charged with driving under the influence, the Ventura County District Attorney's Office has announced.Gerardo Israel Escalante, 34, of Santa Paula, faces felony charges for the crash which sent a Sheriff's Office vehicle off the side of the road and down a rocky cliff only feet away from the waterline.A Ventura County Sheriff's vehicle is seen resting on rocks near the ocean after a crash on Dec. 16, 2023. (KRON) -- One person was killed after an overnight crash Friday on Highway 152 near Gilroy, according to California Highway Patrol. The multi-vehicle crash happened around 1:30 a.m. on the eastbound lanes of Highway 152 and west of Lovers Lane. The driver of a 2010 Chrysler died after crossing over the solid double yellow lines of the highway at an unknown speed, CHP said. The Chrysler went from the eastbound into the westbound lanes where it was on a collision course with a 2018 Audi. ANTIOCH, Calif. (KRON) -- A former Antioch police officer pleaded no contest in court on Thursday after he was accused of interfering with a bombshell criminal investigation into dozens of East Bay police officers. Ex-Antioch Police Department officer Timothy Manly-Williams pleaded no contest to one felony count of conspiracy to commit an act injurious to the public, and one misdemeanor count of altering evidence, District Attorney's Office spokesperson Ted Asregadoo told KRON4. The judge said the maximum sentence Manly-Williams will face is three years, four months in prison. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for March 19 in Contra Costa County Superior Court.Manly-Williams was employed as a police officer in Pittsburg before he was hired by Antioch in 2019, according to APD's Facebook page.
